Gniezno

The Gniezno railway is a narrow gauge line, built to the 750mm gauge. The line was originally part of the Kulawy system, extending all the way to Krosniewice. The surviving section winds its way down through Witkowo, to Powidz and Anastarzewo.

The following information has been received from the Gniezno Railway - E&OE

A special steam hauled service is planned to operate on May 21, to mark the start of the tourist season.

The train will leave Gniezno Narrow Gauge station at 10.30am, returning at approximately 6pm.

The train will be formed with:

- steam loco Px48 1919 (dated 1948)
- 2 brankards
- passanger wagon 3AW (dated 1952)

and will operate on the route GNIEZNO - POWIDZ - CLUB "LUGOWISKO" - GNIEZNO.

There will be a special celebration with fire and food (BBQ) at Enthusiasts Club ‘LUGOWISKO” around 2pm. Free transport to EC “LUGOWISKO” will be supplied by horse coaches.
